Oakley John: 11 Months

Oakley John is 11 Months...Almost 1 year. Time is going way to fast!!

Unfortunately, this month has been a month of sickness for this lil bud! He's been teething, had hand foot and mouth virus, croup, and a couple of ear infections all back to back:( It's just the phase of life we're in but it can sure be frustrating! He's been a sweet boy through it all. He continues sleeping though the night just has been more irritable throughout the day. He's a trooper!

We've definitely seen him be more boy lately. He loves to wrestle and pick on his sister:) She'll just be sitting on the floor and he will go up and sit on her and tackle her. It's pretty funny.

He's been jabbering a lot more! We go into the produce section in the grocery store and he says "nana nana" constantly...yes, Oaks we'll get bananas! Along with mama and ba for ball! Fun to watch his little personality come out.

Silly kid:)

Trying to get grocery shopping done...he does not like being confined any more, haha.

Favorite hide out spot:)
Waffles are a new fav!

Cuddles with daddy!

At the dr....he's not impressed!

4th of July '15

For the 4th this year, we were pretty low key which was wonderful. We went and watched the fireworks show the week before at a church close by. This was a fun thing to do as a family. However...our kids are terrified of fireworks! Both kids ended up crying when it started. Mike and I just looked at each other and laughed....not as romantic as it used to be, haha. Oakley kept putting his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes, and then he'd get curious and peek and then hide again. It was pretty cute...he ended up falling asleep during it.

Silly guy climbs on anything!

Mangos are our fav!

Theres a creek next to the church that Mike took Sloane to wade in while we waited for it to start.

For the 4th, we decided to stay home and have friends over and put the kids to bed since they're so afraid of fireworks anyways. Our neighbors have a HUGE bash which was a lot of fun. They are so kind in inviting so many people. They had lots of games and food. They shot of fireworks in our cul-de-sac later that night and it was crazy! We've never been that close to the action. Super bright and super loud!

Maybe next year our kids won't be such scaredy cats!!:)

Friends Brittney and Stephen came to hang

The only firework Sloane would watch....a little bang and then a parachute.

Sloane has several neighborhood friends that she loves playing with so she takes advantage of any opportunity!
